Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game ist ein leicht zu erlernendes Deckbauspiel für zwei Personen, in dessen Mittelpunkt der Konflikt zwischen dem Galaktischen Imperium und der Rebellenallianz steht. Die Spieler entscheiden sich für eine Fraktion: Für das Imperium oder die Rebellen. Im Laufe der Partie müssen die Starter-Decks verbessert werden, indem neue Karten mit mehr Feuerkraft und Ressourcen gekauft werden. Nur so können gegnerische Stützpunkte angegriffen und zerstört werden. Wer zuerst drei gegnerische Stützpunkte zerstört, gewinnt das Spiel.
