Der Kathrein EXR 2908 Multischalter dient der Verteilung von 8 Sat-ZF-Ebenen und terrestrischer Signale auf 8 Anschlüsse. Je Receiver ist nur eine Niederführung notwendig, für Twin-Receiver sind es zwei Niederführungen, und von jedem Receiver aus besteht eine unabhängige Wahlmöglichkeit (horizontal/vertikal, low/high). In den Multischalter ist ein Verstärker für geringe Anschlussdämpfungen im Sat-Bereich sowie eine Preemphase zum Entzerren der Kabeldämpfung integriert. Der terrestrische Bereich kann auch bei ausgeschaltetem Sat-Receiver empfangen werden. Der EXR 2908 Multischalter weist zudem eine hohe Entkopplung zwischen den Ausgängen auf.
