Als Besonderheit ist der P14 Max mit ARCTICs bewährtem hydrodynamischen Gleitlager ausgestattet. Dies ermöglicht einen nahezu geräuschlosen Betrieb bei niedrigen Geschwindigkeiten. Aufbauend auf dem Erfolg des P14 PWM, erweitert der P14 Max die regelbare Geschwindigkeit auf einen erstaunlich breiten Bereich von 400 RPM bis zu 2800 RPM. Dies ermöglicht zugleich einen leisen Betrieb, wenn nur ein geringer Luftstrom benötigt wird, und ebenfalls ein nie dagewesenes Leistungsniveau auf Kühlkörpern und Radiatoren.
