Die Backplate deckt die gesamte Länge der Grafikkartenplatine ab, dient als ästhetisches Add-on und bietet außerdem passive Kühlung für die Rückseite des Spannungsregelungsmoduls (VRM), den VRAM und den GPU-Kern.
